Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction will not be open during extra magic hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you were looking to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and enjoy less crowds for the attraction, you may have to come up with alternative plans. Since its inception, the attraction has been plagued with operational issues, causing numerous delays in opening on both coasts. Despite the attraction still being on target for its December 5th grand opening here in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, operational issues persist, and it seems that the attraction is unable to operate for extended hours. That being said, until all of the operating issues are worked out within the attraction, it will not be offered as one of the attractions available during Extra Magic Hours. FastPass+ will also not be available for the attraction during its first few weeks (or potentially months) of operation.

Currently, all of Galaxy’s Edge, including Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, is open during the park’s morning Extra Magic Hours. We’ll have to see how the attraction fares once it begins official operation on December 5th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
